Brewers bats flat again as Giants finish off sweep

Joe Panik's two-run home run provided all the spark the Giants needed in a 3-1 victory Wednesday, completing a three-game sweep of the Brewers at Miller Park.

Mike Fiers pitched five innings on short rest, holding the Giants scoreless through the first four frames before surrendering the longball to Panik. Khris Davis tripled twice in the game, but couldn't come around to score either time.

The Brewers have a day off Thursday before welcoming the Diamondbacks to town for a three-game weekend series.
