CBS 58

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) - The Milwaukee Brewers will turn to their young sensation to start the 2026 regular season.

The team announced that Jacob Misiorowski will start against the Chicago White Sox at 1:10 p.m. on Thursday, March 26.

After being called up in June, the 23-year-old quickly announced himself. He was the June National League Rookie of the Month and was named a 2025 All Star. The rest of his rookie season didn't reach the same heights as he dealt with injuries. He finished the regular season 5-3, with a 4.36 ERA in 15 games pitched including 14 starts.

He wrapped up his rookie year being stellar out of the bullpen in the Brewers postseason pitching in 3 games with a 1.50 ERA going 2-1 in 12 innings pitched.

Now The Miz will add Opening Day Start to his early career accolades.
