Brett Favre to be inducted into Packers Hall of Fame

GREEN BAY -- Former Green Bay Packers Quarterback Brett Favre will be inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 2015. Members of the Packers organization and Brett Favre himself spoke at a joint news conference on August 4.

Favre's famous #4 jersey will be retired at the induction banquet scheduled for July 2015. During the news conference Favre said he would like to have Mike Holmgren and Ron Wolf there when his number gets retired.

The Packers Hall of Fame 2015 class consists of only Brett Favre. It's the sixth time in the organization's history that only one player was inducted. During the news conference, Favre said he was honored to have his name enshrined with the likes of Bart Starr and his former teammate Reggie White.

Favre won three MVP awards and a Super Bowl before Ted Thompson traded him to the New York Jets in 2008 following two off-seasons of indecision on Favre's part about his future in football.
