Braun ties franchise record as Brewers sweep Phillies

Milwaukee -

Ryan Braun tied Robin Yount's franchise record with his 251st career home run as the Brewers completed a three-game sweep of the Philadelphia Phillies with a 6-1 win Sunday at Miller Park.

Braun's record-tying shot was a grand slam off Aaron Harang, giving the Brewers and Taylor Jungmann a nice cushion. Jungmann finished another very strong outing by striking out nine Phillies and holding the opposition scoreless for six and a third innings.

Jonathan Lucroy tripled and scored in the first inning, but Harang held the Brewers scoreless from then until the fifth, with Braun's historic home run serving as the big blow in a five run inning.

The Brewers swept the Phillies for the second time this season, taking all seven games in the season series with Philadelphia.
