Braun homers, but Reds stop Brewers win streak

Cincinnati, Ohio -

Ryan Braun hit his 25th home run of the season, but the Cincinnati Reds halted the Brewers' six game win streak Sunday, beating Milwaukee 6-3 behind home runs from Brandon Phillips and Jay Bruce.

Jimmy Nelson gave up five runs over five innings, including the two home runs, and the Brewers bats couldn't rally to pull off the team's second straight series sweep. Milwaukee took three straight from Pittsburgh at Miller Park before travelling to Cincinnati.

The team's road trip stops in Miami next, with a 1:10 Labor Day meeting with the Marlins.
