Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee and Panda Cares open a Panda Cares Center of Hope
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, in partnership with Panda Cares, the philanthropic arm of food chain Panda Express, has announced the opening of a new center that aims to enhance emotional and educational support for local youth at the Mary Ryan Boys & Girls Club.
The collaboration will introduce the Center of Hope, a dedicated area within the Boys & Girls Club. It aims to enhance educational and emotional support for local youth and is equipped with modern educational tools and resources.
The center is designed to foster an environment that supports social-emotional development and academic learning, according to Kathy Thornton-Bias, President and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, in a press release on Monday, Nov. 13.
She noted, "This collaboration brings invaluable resources and opportunities to our members, fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for learning and personal growth."
The ribbon-cutting event is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 4 p.m. and will mark the official opening of the Center of Hope, providing attendees with an opportunity to explore the newly renovated space. The center features new technology, including computers, tablets and interactive learning materials, enhancing the educational experience for club members.
