MILWAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A man charged in a fatal crash appeared in Milwaukee County court Monday, Jan. 26.
Sixty-year-old William Lee is charged with first degree reckless homicide in connection to a crash that killed 41-year-old Elaine Corbitt back on Jan. 13 near 94th and Wilbur.
According to the criminal complaint, Lee was driving recklessly through a residential area and eventually hit a tree, traveling at roughly 100 miles per hour.
Corbitt, Lee's passenger, died at the scene.
"The picture of the vehicle looks like it was dropped from the air by a crane, and that's no exaggeration," Hon. Barry Phillips said. "This might be one of the worst crashes I've had, and unfortunately, I've had a lot."
Lee's cash bond was set at $100,000.
He's due back in court for a preliminary hearing Feb. 2.
