MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- This July 4th holiday, many people who want to celebrate on the water are out of luck because of a backlog of available boats, causing a severe shortage.
Now, some are turning to a first-of-its-kind boat sharing service.
Captain Scott Monroe, the general manager of the Racine Riverside Marina and owner of the Sail Time in Racine, joined CBS 58 Morning News. Captain Monroe talked about the shortage in local boats, boat sharing, and how this membership opportunity could make a good substitute for a family vacation.
