MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The community came out to Sherman Phoenix on Milwaukee's northwest side for the Blackout Vendor Market on Saturday, Feb. 17.
They supported local Black and Brown businesses by shopping for clothes, jewelry, and more.
The director of operations at Sherman Phoenix says this event has been great for many of the local businesses.
"It's so important to give access to all the different creative people that are in the community that may not have a brick-and-mortar space for their products to be highlighted, so we open our doors to allow them to come in alongside the businesses that are inside of Sherman Phoenix and get their products out to the masses," said Romero McCants, the director of operations for Sherman Phoenix.
The Blackout Vendor Market is every third Saturday of the month.
