MILWAUKEE, (CBS 58) -- Closer to home, Black Husky Brewing made a donation for every beer sold on March 5 to United Help Ukraine.
It's a charitable organization receiving and distributing donations, food and medical supplies to people of Ukraine affected by Russia's invasion.
Today's event is called "Ukraine Strong".
Black Husky says they're known for their strong beers.
They want to take that reputation and do something to help the strong people of Ukraine.
"Tim and Tony’s daughter In law actually is a Ukrainian immigrant, which is one of the main reasons we did this in the first place; we felt we couldn’t stand idly by essentially while our family is under attack in Ukraine," said Sam Engle of Black Husky Brewing.
For every beer purchased on March 5, $2 will be donated to United Help Ukraine.
