Black Friday deals roll out

For many folks, the Friday after Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the holiday shopping season, be it online or in person, but does Black Friday still offer the best deals? Most of the Black Friday deals aren't even on Friday. Now, the big savings happen on Thanksgiving.

Just about everything will be on sale come Black Friday, but before you take out your wallet Liz Fredrichs with the Better Business Bureau suggests doing your homework.

\"You may think that it is a great deal and it may be promoted as a great deal, but you might be able to get a far better saving somewhere else,\" said Fredichs. She said the best thing to do is to compare prices.

She also warns shoppers to read the fine print.

\"You'll see a fabulous deal but keep in mind there may be a little asterisk behind that deal that says you may have limited quantities,\" said Fredichs.

Limited quantities is the thing to remember, just because it's on sale doesn't mean there is plenty to go around. Consumer experts say you may find the same deals again right before Christmas or online.
