MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The organizers behind Summerfest helped announce a new festival that will showcase African-American culture.
Black Arts Fest MKE is coming to the Henry Maier Festival Park in August.
"Our hope is that all the attendees to the festival will be inspired and that everyone can begin to grow in their appreciation and respect for the African cultural experience and ancestry," said Derek Tyus, CIO and VP of West Bend Mutual Insurance Company.
The one-day music event will be held Saturday, August 4. Performers will be announced soon.
