Big waves creating shoreline hazard

Huge waves churned up along Lake Michigan Friday.

Mother Nature put on quite the show near McKinley Marina and drew many bundled up spectators to watch the angry lake in action.

In downtown Racine, the waves forced the closure of Pershing Park Drive.

Kenosha police had to put up road blocks because folks were getting too close to the lake front.

There are reports of flooding in the Kemper Center parking lot.

The Kenosha Police Department issued this advisory on its facebook page:

\"There is currently a marine warning and high wave warning issued for the Kenosha lakefront. The winds are very strong and the waves are huge and very dangerous right now. Do not walk out onto the pier and stay away from the shore ...areas. Some areas are washed over with water and are flooded. The waves at this time are approx 14 ft or more and very dangerous. Please be smart and use caution.\"
