MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. (CBS 58) -- There have been big crowds touring Foxconn's temporary facility Friday for the open house. Visitors had the opportunity to see elaborate models of what the 22 million square foot Foxconn facility will look like when it's complete.
There were also workers on hand to answer questions about products like an 8k television and smart boards.
Visitors could see Foxconn employees working on an actual production line that will eventually be moved to the permanent facility.
The open house brought out people from near and far and there were several young people who were curious about what kind of products Foxconn produces, “Very impressed with the TVs and the clarity and the quality that we've seen so far and the smart boards for kids and the educational aspect of what they can do," said Dawn Grissom.
"I just wanted to take a gander to see how it affects the community and everything like that. How many jobs will be here and what technology they're pushing forward,” said Gary Winthrope.
The open house runs until 7 p.m. Friday and there will be another one Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
