TOWN OF DELAFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A bicyclist was hit and killed by a car on Thursday evening.
The Waukesha County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a car versus bicycle accident on Golf Road, west of Maple Avenue.
The investigation revealed that while the bicyclist was traveling eastbound on Golf Road, a vehicle traveling the same direction hit him.
The bicyclist was taken to a hospital in Oconomowoc where he died from his injuries.
The bicyclist was identified as a 57-year-old man from Delafield.
The driver of the striking vehicle is a 71-year-old man from Waukesha. The driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
