MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Check out these pizza chefs! If they look a little young, that's because they're at Milwaukee's Betty Brinn Children's Museum.
They held a ribbon-cutting on Friday, for the museum's new Palermo's Pizza Factory and Café exhibit. It teaches kids about making pizza, and as you can see, it's a hands-on event. Turns out making pizza is more than just opening a box and popping it in the oven.
"Kids are gonna love this exhibit," said Tina Quealy, Betty Brinn Children's Museum CEO. "It offers so many wonderful educational skills, learning, collaborative team learning, math and literacy skills, while all around the joys of making their own pizzas."
This exhibit is a partnership between the museum and Palermo's of Milwaukee.
Friday's opening is timed well. After all, there's a sporting event Sunday during which many pizzas will likely be consumed.
