Bell Ambulance Donates $25,000 to Earn and Learn Program

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett got a big boost for a jobs program today.

Bell Ambulance presented the mayor with a $25,000 check for the Earn and Learn Program.

Earn and Learn is Milwaukee's Youth Summer Employment Program and the mayor said it gives kids a chance to get important job skills and experience  

“If we are going to solve the problems we have in this city, it's going to come from young people having positive things to do in the summer. That's why the Earn and Learn program is so important,” said Mayor Tom Barrett.

The mayor also took time to honor Rick Zehetner who founded bell ambulance 50 years ago and helped grow the company into the largest ambulance provider in Wisconsin.
