MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The War Memorial Center will host the "Beer Garden End of Season BASH!," featuring authentic German beer, gourmet wursts and live Oktoberfest-style music.

The event takes place from Friday, Sept. 29, to Sunday, Oct. 1, open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Kegel's Inn will provide the German beer and food, including Bavarian pretzels made fresh by the Milwaukee Pretzel Company. A free Oktoberfest-style beer keg will be tapped at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30.

Live music is scheduled throughout the weekend. Friday through Sunday will feature several Veteran resource vendors and a special booth hosted by Chapter 1 Wisconsin Vietnam Veterans.

Saturday will showcase historic military vehicles, and the first 100 attendees will receive a War Memorial Center-themed door prize.

The weather is forecasted to be a rare 81 degrees and sunny, so expect pleasant conditions for an outdoor beer garden celebration.
