Beaver Dam man receives 4 year prison sentence after threatening officers

BEAVER DAM, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Beaver Dam man is facing four years in prison with seven years of supervision to follow, after threatening police.

The Dodge County District Attorney says 34-year-old Michael Nelson was found guilty by a jury for threatening an officer and other charges.

Officials say while Nelson was on bond for a pending matter, he had prohibited contact with his fiancée and assaulted her.

Police say they found Nelson and began placing him under arrest when he became belligerent, spitting in an officer's face and making threatening comments.
