CBS 58’s Theater Thursdays: ’Project Hail Mary’ and ’Tow’
BEAVER DAM, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Beaver Dam man died and one other person was injured after they were pulled from their overturned SUV in the Beaver Dam River.
Beaver Dam Fire & Rescue were called to a vehicle in the river with entrapment near 227 Front Street.
Two people were pulled from the vehicle and taken to a local hospital.
The passenger, identified as Jared Frakes, later died at the hospital.
Police were initially told that there were up to five people in the vehicle. They were then told that it was just three people -- the driver, the passenger, and an unaccounted for 2-year-old.
Beaver Dam Police initiated an investigation into the possible whereabouts of the missing child.
Multiple agencies responded and were prepared to search the downstream river areas.
Beaver Dam Police were then alerted that the child was found safe and in the care of relatives.
