TOWN OF GENESEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Authorities say one person was injured in a barn fire in the Town of Genesee Monday, Oct. 17. 

The Lake Country Fire Department responded to the fire on Saylesville Road just before 3:30 p.m. and reported the barn was fully engulfed in flames. 

While on scene, deputies encountered an individual who suffered burn injuries to his face. He was taken to an area hospital where he is said to be in stable condition.

The Waukesha County Sheriff's Office says the barn was not used to house any animals and was used to store and work on vehicles. 

The fire remains under investigation.
