Bald Eagle recovering after being hit by car in Hustisford

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A bald eagle is recovering after being hit by a car in Hustisford.

The bald eagle was brought to the Wildlife in Need Center by a Wisconsin DNR Biologist last week.

According to the Wildlife in Need Center, the eagle was eating roadkill and unable to take off fast enough when he was hit.

During the initial exam, the eagle was found to have bruising on his hips and he was unable to use his feet due to blunt trauma.

The eagle is currently on medication and fluids.

He started eating solid food which is a good sign, the Wildlife in Need Center says.
