Badgers win Paul Bunyan's Axe, B1G West

Madison, Wis.--The Wisconsin Badgers defeated the Minnesota Golden Gophers 34-24, securing a place in the Big Ten Championship Game Saturday, December 6th, at Camp Randall Stadium Saturday night.
The Badgers were down 17-3 in the first half but rallied to clinch its third trip to Indianapolis in four years.
\"You look at this football team, adversity strikes, they keep on battling just like they have all year long,\" Wisconsin coach Gary Andersen said. \"So proud of them.\"
Junior running back Melvin Gordon scored two touchdowns and rushed for 151 yards for a total of 2,260, breaking Ron Dayne's Big Ten record for rushing yards in a season.
