Badgers streak ends with loss to Northwestern

MADISON - The Badgers have been automatic for nearly two decades when facing Northwestern at the Kohl Center, but their long home winning streak against the Wildcats came to an end Wednesday night.

Drew Crawford scored 30 points on 10-15 shooting to help the Wildcats drop the Badgers 65-56.

Wisconsin, who spent some time ranked in the top 5 this season, fell into a nearly game-long shooting slump, connecting on just 26% of their shots and just 21% from three-point range. Northwestern shot 48% for the game, helping them win in Madison for the first time since 1996.

The Badgers fall to 17-4 with the loss. Ben Brust's 21 points and Sam Dekker's 11 led Wisconsin.
