Badgers lineman Voltz retires from football

MADISON - Offensive lineman Dan Voltz has decided to step away from football, making the announcement on the final day of Badgers fall camp.
Voltz missed much of last season because of a torn knee ligament, and continued to struggle with the injury during the summer. Voltz also dealt with ankle injuries that cost him playing time in 2012.
Voltz was named All-Big Ten as a sophomore in 2014. He says he will remain with the program this season to help younger players.
