Badgers football picked to win West Division in media poll

A newly released media poll organized by the website cleveland.com finds the Wisconsin Badgers atop the Big Ten's West division for the 2015 football season. Of 40 voters, 32 picked the Badgers to win the West, five picked the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and three selected the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Iowa is projected fourth, followed by Northwestern, Illinois, and Purdue.

Defending national champ Ohio State is the unanimous selection to repeat as Big Ten champions, with all 40 voters picking the Buckeyes to win the east and ultimately the conference title game. Michigan State is projected to finish 2nd in the East, followed by Penn State, Michigan, Maryland, Rutgers, and Indiana.

Big Ten Media Days will take place later this week in Chicago. CBS 58's Earl Arms will have live reports following the Badgers press conference on Thursday, July 30th. Wisconsin opens their season on Saturday, Sept. 5th when they take on Alabama in the AdvoCare Classic in Arlington, Texas. Their home opener is on September 12th against Miami of Ohio at Camp Randall Stadium.
