Back To Reality Before The New Year

We've had an impressive stretch of mild weather timing out nicely for the holiday. Today's high of 49° matches the previous high for the month set back on the 14th. It's also our 5th consecutive day with high temps of at least 40°.

And with temps running more than 5° above average for the month, it's no surprise our snowfall is way below normal:
If you're enjoying this mild stretch of weather, please soak in Saturday as we hit a 6th consecutive day of 40° or above. After that, all bets are off. In fact, we're entering into the climatological basement of winter weather. By this I mean, historically, we're approaching the coldest time of the year.
And, as the above graphic shows, we have about a 50% probability of kicking things off colder than normal... Brrrr! In fact, even before we make it to January our temps suffer a major setback. Highs will struggle to hit 20° by Tuesday and then again on New Year's Eve day. We're also monitoring snow potential for the first weekend of 2015.
Stay Tuned!!!
