The last week of August definitely has more of a fall feel
FOX POINT (CBS 58) -- There's so much 87-year-old Wilma Boese doesn't remember because of what dementia has taken from her. But what she does recall, like her love of teaching and writing, becomes the focal point for a program at Azura Assisted Living and Memory Care in Fox Point called "Dreams."
It's a way for residents to fulfill something they've always dreamed of doing. Cross off something on a wish list if you will. For Wilma, she always wanted to read her book to a group of youngsters. One special day in February, she got her wish.
On CBS 58 Sunday Morning, Michael Schlesinger caught up with this special senior and spoke with her. Michael also asked the experts what can actually help slow the progression of this debilitating disease impacting memory and cognitive skill.
