AXE MKE invites graduates to throw axes at their textbooks and thesis papers

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- AXE MKE, Milwaukee's axe throwing bar, is letting graduates celebrate in person this year by throwing axes at their textbooks, thesis papers, and schoolwork. 

Celebrations will be held on Sundays in May with textbook targets, free shooters, and confetti balloons. To enjoy the graduation promotion, graduates must either wear a cap and/or gown to show proof of graduation upon arrival.

"Because this year's graduates have been through a lot and may not be able to walk across the stage, we wanted to give them a chance to celebrate and release stress," Social Marketing Manager Madeline Redell said. "Having a shot and throwing an axe at your textbook and confetti-filled balloons is the perfect way to ring in post-graduation life."

Officials say graduates are encouraged to bring in any copies of thesis papers, textbooks, or any other final schoolwork to use as a target.
