Aurora Family Services Provide Full Thanksgiving Meals

Thousands of families in Milwaukee will have enough food to prepare a full thanksgiving meal this year thanks to Aurora Family Services.

They prepared bags of groceries for pre-registered families, each get all the standard side dishes and a 12-pound turkey for thanksgiving dinner.

All of these groceries were purchased because of donations made to the program.

"It's the time families get together, put a meal together, feels like they can tell their stories, their history and really feel the warmth, even when you're in crisis that gets you through another day," says Jane Pirsig the Executive Director of Aurora Family Services.

This is the 20th anniversary of the program, which has helped over 58,000 Milwaukee families in the last two decades.
