Attorney General's office launches hotline for reporting elder abuse in Wisconsin

WISCONSIN (CBS 58) – People can now call a hotline to report elder abuse in Wisconsin.

The hotline was set up by State Attorney General Brad Schimel’s task force.

The Attorney General’s office says 1 in 9 seniors have reported being abused, neglected or exploited in the past year.

To report suspected financial, physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, please contact your county elder-adult-at-risk agency or call 1-800-488-3780. If you witness an act of abuse, neglect, or exploitation that requires immediate attention, please call 911.
