Attorney General Asks for Employers Help in Fighting Opiate Addiction

Wisconsin Attorney General Brad Schimel is asking for employers to get involved in the fight against drug overdose.

Schimel says is the next step in the "Dose of Truth" campaign.

He held a press conference outside Husco International in Waukesha Tuesday. That's where he rolled out new posters for breakrooms and human relations offices.

Schimel said businesses can offer what he called a "safe place" for employees to admit they have a problem. He also said this does not mean law enforcement will take a back seat to the problem, but said people who become addicted to painkillers can turn their lives around with help.
