Attempted robbery suspect shot amid struggle

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police responded to an attempted robbery turned shooting near N. 97th and W. Reichert Pl. around 9:35 p.m. Sunday, January 28. 

According to police, a 31-year-old man tried to rob a 48-year-old male, when a struggle ensued. During the incident, the suspect's weapon fired. The suspect suffered a non-life threatening injury and was taken to a local hospital. 

Following an investigation, MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days for charges.
