Arrest warrant issued for man charged in fatal shooting on Milwaukee's east side
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- An 18-year-old has been charged, accused of fatally shooting a man on Milwaukee's east side.
The shooting happened on May 26, near Prospect and Windsor. The victim was identified as 19-year-old Jadarien Bolden of Milwaukee.
Investigators used surveillance video to help identify the shooter as Kamari Madison-Poirier.
According to a criminal complaint, detectives showed Madison-Poirier's father and grandmother a surveillance photo from the incident, and both identified the person in it as Madison-Poirier.
Madison-Poirier has been charged with the following. A warrant is currently out for his arrest:
- Possession of a firearm by a felon
- First degree reckless homicide, use of a dangerous weapon
- First degree recklessly endangering safety, use of a dangerous weapon
This is not the first time Madison-Poirier has been in trouble. In May of 2023, he pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle without owner's consent. He's currently on probation in that case.
