Appleton Police investigating Dollar General armed robbery

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) -- The Appleton Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that happened at the Dollar General in the 1300 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue around 9:30 Thursday night.

Police say there were no immediate reports of anybody injured in the incident. Police say the suspect robbed the business with a knife and took off with some cash on foot.

The suspect is described as a male in his late teens or early 20's. He was described as being approximately 5’8" to 5’10” and having a slim to average build. He was wearing a dark-colored jacket and dark-colored hat at the time of the robbery.

Investigators from the Appleton Police Department are asking the public to contact them with any information they may have related to the robbery.
