Annual Stars and Stripes Golf Outing held in Germantown

GERMANTOWN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- More than 100 people hit the links for a great cause on Saturday.

It was the 6th annual Stars and Stripes Golf Outing at Blackstone Creek Golf Course in Germantown.

The event raised money for the Stars and Stripes Honor Flights which helps get veterans to memorials dedicated to them in Washington D.C.

"We are 100% volunteer and supported on donations so events like this are the foundation of our ability to keep honoring these veterans," said Paula Nelson, President of Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.

Sports Corner Bar and Grill sponsored the event. The golfers were treated to a meal and a raffle back at the bar after their round.
