Glendale man sentenced to 17 years in prison for May 18 homicide
GREENFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) --The annual Philippine Center Health Fair and Backpack Day was hosted by the Philippine Cultural and Civic Center Foundation on Saturday, July 27.
It was held at Zablocki Park and is a tradition for many families in the community. Over 30 booths were available, an increase from last year.
Community members were able to get resources for mental health, physical fitness, physical therapy, insurance, and more.
Families were also able to get school supplies and clothing, too. The organization has been giving back to the community for nearly 25 years.
There were also free health screenings and a free clinic for the uninsured and underinsured.
The community response year after year remains positive. "We are helping people who really deserve it," said Dr. Max Cueto, Philippine Cultural and Civic Center Chairman.
