Annual "Last Call Fisheree" on Pewaukee Lake Still on Despite Warm Weather

Even though it’ll be mild this weekend, winter rules on Pewaukee Lake.  The Second Annual “"Last Call Fisheree," put on by the Lake Country Last Call Snowmobile Club,” takes place in Pewaukee very close to Mugshotz Bar.  It’s basically an ice fishing competition happening throughout the day.  The person with the largest catch gets a new high-tech electric drill, perfect for measuring the ice.  I even tried my hand at both ice fishing and the drill as well.

Registration for tomorrow’s event begins at 6:30 in the morning.  It costs ten dollars to participate.  Remember to be extremely cautious if you do venture out on the ice, especially with the big fluctuations in temperatures we’ve seen lately.  Four inches of ice can support an ice fisherman.  You need around a foot of ice thickness to hold up a small car.
