Animals saved after fire breaks out between two barns in Town of Raymond

Officials were called out to the 400 block of 124th Street in the Town of Raymond shortly before 10:30 PM Saturday for a barn fire.

When they arrived on scene the homeowner stated that the fire was between two barns which contained 100 sheep and 50 cows.

Flames were coming from a tractor which was under an overhang between the two barns.

There were bails of alfalfa behind the tractor which were also burning.

The animals were removed from the barns to an outdoor pasture.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.

The tractor as well as several bails of alfalfa was a total loss.

There is no foul play suspected.

All of the animals were saved and no people were injured in the fire.
