American TV going out of business

MILWAUKEE -- American TV has announced the closing of all of its locations across southeast Wisconsin. The store chain will have a going out of business sale starting February 20th.

American TV has filed for Chapter 128, a move that would protect the company from its creditors. The company says they gave advanced notice to their 989 employees working at their eleven locations. The majority of employees will continue working through the chain's closing process.

In their statement, American pointed out all extended warranty policies purchased by customers will remain valid through a third-party company.

During their going out of business sale, American says they will honor gift cards and provide refunds to customers who cannot redeem them. The company also said it will either deliver or refund customers waiting for a delivery.

All products waiting for repair will be repaired or returned before American closes for good.
