MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Admirals players wore commemorative Bob Uecker jerseys during their game Friday, April 18, in tribute to the longtime broadcaster and entertainer.
The jerseys referenced one of Uecker’s well-known commercials created for the team.
Following the final horn, the Admirals planned to auction off the game-worn jerseys, with proceeds benefiting a selection of local charities.
In addition to the tribute uniforms, the team also launched a line of plaid merchandise available at the team store and online. A portion of the sales from that merchandise will also be directed to charitable causes.
