MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The space at the intersection of 29th and Burham Street will soon have new lighting and gardening tools thanks to a $1000 prize awarded by AARP Wisconsin.
Each year, 11 different non-profit organizations or government agencies are recipients of the "Small Dollar, Big Impact" grants. The initiative started in 2020 just as the pandemic was severely impacting communities.
On CBS 58 Sunday Morning Michael Schlesinger shared more about the garden and its impact on Milwaukee's south side.
