Windy Friday then a chance for frost this weekend
It's the moment so many of us have waited for. The Brewers are back in action and today was the home opener at Miller Park! As the official forecasters of the Milwaukee Brewers, the forecast was something we watched very carefully over this last week. Opening day last year was chilly. Check it out:
This time the possibility of the warmest air so far this year, was looking good here. We stayed steady in our forecast despite the challenges Lake Michigan can pose this time of the year. It ended up working out nicely with a cool front holding off just long enough to pull out our warmest day of the year, tied with yesterday.
It was perfect for tailgating too since the day started mild. Even though we've enjoyed mild weather lately, snow piles are still around. Here's a shot of Miller Park yesterday, thanks to Stephen Stango. And by later this afternoon, it was feeling more like winter with temps falling to near 40: Good thing the roof was closed! The Crew is back on the field tomorrow for game two against the Cardinals. First pitch is 7:10pm We're looking dry but cool for afternoon tailgating. A light shower is possible on the drive home.I'm meteorologist Rebecca Schuld
