October has featured plenty of unseasonably warm temperatures! As of today, this is the 5th warmest start to October on record. The pattern has changed. A trough has created some windy and cooler air.
Wind gusts this afternoon have ranged between 30 and 35 mph. The winds will continue out of the northwest over the next 24 hours. Not only will the winds stay up, but the cooler temperatures will stick around through Friday.
While we don't have many 60s in the forecast this week, the average last 60 doesn't occur until around the second week of November! Don't lose hope if you like the Fall warmth.
