Hanukkah celebrations underway across our hometowns
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)-- August is usually the time we get the "Dog Days of Summer." Don't look for it to happen at least through the middle of this coming week. Both temperatures and humidity will be rather tolerable. We're talking highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. This is rather seasonable if not seasonably cool. The weather will stay dry unfortunately because we really do need the moisture. It definitely looks warmer and more humid by Thursday for the start of the Wisconsin State Fair.
It's interesting to note August signals a time of a major decrease in daylight, both at sunrise and sunset. In all we lose about an hour and fifteen minutes of daylight. The average high goes from 80 in the beginning of the month to 76 in the end. We normally receive close to 4 inches of rain during the month. Let's hope this comes true!
