A look at the Admirals season giveaways and events ahead of home opener Saturday, Oct. 21

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Hockey season is here, and the Admirals home opener is this Saturday, Oct. 21 against the Texas Stars at 6 p.m. 

Fans will get a free calendar magnet before they get to their seats. 

The team is already starting out the year with a win in Chicago during the season opener on Saturday, Oct. 14. 

Last year was the first time the Milwaukee Admirals made it to the conference finals in 17 years. 

"We want to do that, and go a little bit further," said Admirals president Jon Greenberg. "There was one more step to take, which was to make it to the Calder Cup Finals. ... We got four number one picks from Nashville on this team. This is a team capable of doing some damage." 

That includes two hometown hockey players: Spencer Stastney from Mequon and Troy Grosenick from Brookfield.

You may get the chance to get out on the ice to become a human hockey puck or play a game of tic-tac-toe against Roscoe.

The Admirals theme nights calendar is full of family fun nights like wizard night and princess night and two bring-your-dog-to-a-game nights.
