A Milwaukee mother is grieving the loss of her son. His body was found burned in a garage on Milwaukee’s north side this week. Now, Louise Grissett is calling for justice in her son’s murder.

Milwaukee Police are investigating Dajon’s death as a homicide. Investigators said the fire department was called for a garage fire at W North Ave and N 45th Street around 5:30 Wednesday evening. When checking the garage, Dajon’s body was discovered and police said that’s when they were called. Louise Grissett wants people to speak up to help find whoever did this to her 20-year-old son.

Louise Grissett said Dajon was one of the good ones. He always held a job, was attending college and had no criminal record. Louise said Dajon’s personality would light up a room.

“He was just funny, he was hilarious,” Louise said.

“Not in a million years I thought I would be sitting here right now trying to bury one of my children,” Louise said.

Louise described his death as horrible and something he did not deserve.

“Why did he have to die like that? Should no one have to die like that,” Louise said.

There will be a vigil on W North Ave and N 45th St. this Wednesday, Nov. 1. The vigil is meant not only to remember Dajon, but to a call to action to bring justice to his murder.

“I do want them off the streets,” Louise said. “I’m not going to stop until they're off the streets.”

If you have any information that would help the investigation, please call police.
