Did you know there was a sequel to "A Christmas Carol?"
Tiny Tim is alI grown up and searching for meaning in life.
It's called "God Bless Us Everyone" and is being staged by the Oak Assembly of God church on December 8th at 7 p.m.,December 9th at 2 p.m. and December 10th at 5 p.m.
It is free and open to the public.
"It's a gift to the community," Executive Pastor Ken Beach tells CBS 58 News at 4. "We don't charge for tickets. It's a way of inviitng people into environment that might not otherwise come. There's something about theater, something about production, that draws people. Families. People of all ages. We let them sit back and enjoy the show, but at the same time, they're receiving the message of hope and renewal and that life can be different for them."
In the story Tiny Tim grows up to be a doctor and an accomplished one at that.
But he is torn between his personal career aspirations and the responsibilities of a clinic for the poor that Scrooge also left for him.
"There's a cast of nearly 100," says Dramatic Director Ceci Scalish who also performs in the show. "Plus hundreds more, between the parking lot and front of house and roasted almond stations. We are blessed with the quantity and quality of talent."
