Man dies after jumping in the Milwaukee River while fleeing from police

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 28-year-old man jumped in the Milwaukee River while fleeing on foot from Milwaukee County Sheriff deputies around 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 near Clybourn and Water.
Police say the man was rescued by the Milwaukee Fire Department and rushed to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Police continue to investigate.
