MPD: 8 people shot, one dead, in overnight shootings
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating multiple overnight shootings, which include one death, Friday night into early Saturday morning, Oct. 31.
Police say eight people were shot and one was killed in five separate incidents.
7th and Capitol
A double shooting occurred around 8:30 p.m. near 7th and Capitol Friday, Oct. 30.
Police say a 36-year-old man and 37-year-old man were shot.
Both victims are expected to survive.
One victim was arrested.
The incident remains under investigation.
13th and Keefe
A 17-year-old boy was shot around 1:39 a.m. near 13th and Keefe, Saturday Oct. 31.
He was treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Police are still seeking unknown suspects.
105th and Jonen
A 30-year-old man sustained serious injuries after being shot near 105th and Jonen around 3:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31.
Police say the victim was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
The shooting was the result of a robbery, according to officials.
There are no current suspects.
35th and Wisconsin
A double shooting happened near 35th and Wisconsin around 5:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31.
Police say the suspects approached the victims, demanded property and fired several shots that struck the victims.
A 45-year-old man sustained non-life threatening injuries.
A 39-year-old man died at a local hospital due to his injuries.
There are no current suspects.
13th and Atkinson
A 30-year-old man and 34-year-old man were shot near 13th and Atkinson around 6:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31.
Police say the victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation.
There are currently no suspects.
